What Happened at the Ethereum Argentina Staking Day?
Rhino Review was among the supporters of the Privacy Reunion & Staking Day organized by Ethereum Argentina, and I am delighted to present this summary to you!
The event took place on August 1st and hosted many participants and speakers. The increase in the number of stakers and node operators in Argentina, particularly in Latin America, is of great importance for Ethereum. With the increase in geographical diversity, Ethereum becomes a more robust and resilient network, securing all its actors, projects and people.
Presentations were made with this goal in mind at this visionary and humble event. Being a validator certainly has financial and technical challenges, but contributing to Ethereum as a node operator is a much cheaper and more accessible way. Anyone can set up a node with a cheap mini-computer like Skylar did and join the network.
The event began with a presentation by Skylar from the EF titled “Why is staking important for Ethereum.” He conveyed the mission of Ethereum as a next-generation community computer and gave important messages about why staking is super important.
Then, in the presentation by Nacho from SenseiNode, which operates in the LATAM region, the details and technical requirements of being a node operator were discussed. It was very nice to share experiences with the participants in the tips and recommendations in this section. The day continued with a presentation by Enti, one of the contributors from Lido. Enti provided details about Lido’s new project, CSM, and talked about how to participate and how CSM contributes to Ethereum’s decentralization.
Carlos talked about the geographical distribution of nodes in Latam and showed how ETH Kipu contribute to the descentralization in the region through the first educational program in Spanish about staking “Gardeners of Infinity”.
The final presentation of the day were by Nixo from EthStaker and Nicky from SenseiNode. Nixo’s detailed presentation covered the current issues in the Ethereum staking ecosystem and Nicky was covered the potential impacts of ongoing technical developments like DVT.

📌 Note: Gnosis Chain runs the same composite client software and tooling stack as Ethereum, with minor parameter tweaks. As such, Gnosis is a Proof-of-Stake network that uses Ethereum’s Beacon Chain consensus. For more details, check the official docs
🚨Check 👉 Client Diversity🚨
Client Diversity Is Not Optional - It’s critical
Many know client diversity is important for a more resilient network, but they don’t understand why or just how essential it is. It’s not only important — it’s critical!
